Kathy started working with adults and children with I/DD in 1991 while attending University of Maryland at College Park for another career entirely. She fell in love with the people and the work and knew she had found her vocation! She started at RTR in 1997 and has held many different positions within the agency, from Direct Support Professional to Residential Director, and currently leads the Quality and Training Department. She is passionate about helping Direct Support Professionals achieve the skills and knowledge they need to provide meaningful services that embody the principles of Positive Behavior Support for the individuals. She facilitates the Management Training Institute, an internal staff development program, and is a strong advocate for RTR’s DEI initiatives. She serves as RTR’s Human Rights Coordinator and works closely with our Human Rights Officers and community volunteers on the Human Rights Committee to ensure that everyone is treated with respect and dignity in all aspects of their lives.

Kathy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language and Literature from the University of Maryland in 1993, and a Master of Education in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism Studies from Endicott College in 2022.
