Christopher T. White Ed. D.

Dr. White has been working in the field of human services since 1980.  He was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Road To Responsibility, Inc. (RTR) in September 2008.  During his tenure, RTR has grown rapidly (more than 30% between 2008 and 2015) and has been recognized as one of the top provider organizations in the state.  RTR was honored with the ‘Peer Recognition Award’ by the Provider’s Council in 2012 for excellence serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Under his leadership, RTR will continue to grow expanding service opportunities for persons with Acquired Brain Injuries and Autistic Spectrum Disorders while also extending the geographic area served by RTR to include the Boston-Metro Area and Cape Cod..  Dr. White is a recognized leader in the field, serves on the Board of Directors for both the MA Council of Human Service Providers (The Provider’s Council) and the Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers (ADDP where he is also on the Executive Board).  He was recognized for his statewide leadership by the Arc of MA in April 2015 at their annual meeting.  He is also among the original members of the President’s National Task Group on Dementia in persons with I/DD and presents regularly at national and regional conferences on a range of clinical and policy-related topics.  Dr. White is a Licensed Psychologist and Health Services Provider in MA who received his doctorate in Leadership: Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University in 1992, his Master’s degree in Counseling and Consulting Psychology from Harvard University in 1984 and his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Bridgewater State College (now University) in 1982 along with advanced graduate training in Applied Behavior Analysis (5-course series) from Endicott College in 2013 and in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.  Over the course of his career he has worked in a variety of clinical, research and leadership positions supporting diverse  groups of people including: traumatized veterans, persons with chronic mental illness, and persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  He was an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Program of Counseling and Applied Psychology at Northeastern University from September 1994 until September 2014 where he taught a variety of clinical courses (he developed two courses for the department in Core Clinical Skills and Brief Therapies).  He has a variety of clinical and policy-making interests including neuropsychology, I/DD (including Autistic Spectrum Disorders), effective treatment of persons with complex, difficult-to-treat mental health challenges, treatment of trauma, DBT and improving the behavioral health services system.

Suzanne Powers has been with RTR for over 25 years.  While attending graduate school for Generic Special Needs & Behavioral Sciences she began work at a residence that was placing individuals from state institutions.   After being promoted to Residential Director Ms. Powers started to pursue her PhD. in Developmental Psychology.  Most known for her quality development of clinical residential programs she has been able to use her passion for providing quality services and supports to the individuals we support to help make our residential services one of the most respected in the state.



 

 

Richard Holbert

Richard Holbert started in the human service field over 30 years ago.  Always ready to take on a task, Mr. Holbert is known for his work with clinically involved individuals.  A fan of the underdog, he enjoys succeeding while others have failed in the past.  Also serving as our Special Olympics Basketball coach, Mr. Holbert has been able to help the individuals we support reach their goals of becoming champions on the court.      





 

Debra Stanley

Debra Stanley came to RTR as the VP of Marketing & Sales after many years of experience in the industry.   Debra’s role as a senior manager is to establish long term relationships and channel partners in the community through supportive employment, contract positions, volunteerism and outreach programs.  Debra also manages and executes all work contract negotiations for both internal and external employment.  Debra obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Suffolk University.     

 

 

Kathleen Holmes

Kate Holmes has been a part of the RTR family for over 25 years.  She is known for her strategic financial planning which helps in her most recent role as vice president of finance here at RTR.  A strong desire to make a difference in the lives of others makes her a great addition to our senior team, and her strong ability to make sound financial decisions helps promote growth of our organization.

 

 

 

Jackie Bubar

Jackie Bubar has worked for 25 years in the Human Service field and 7 years in the Business industry.  After working for a short time with RTR in 2002, she returned in 2005 and has held various management positions since taking on her current role as Vice President of Day Services in May 2013.  She has a Master’s degree in Family Counseling from Eastern Nazarene College.

                                              

 

 

Jing Wan

Jing Wan is the Vice President of Human Resources and has been a member of our senior management team since 2005.  She is responsible workforce strategies, employee relations, benefits, compensation, diversity, and organizational development.  Jing is a member of the SHRM, the society of Human Resource Management and NEHRA, the New England Human Resources Association and has a master of Business Degree from the University of San Francisco.

 

 

Matthew Hodgdon

Matthew Hodgdon is the Vice President of Information Technology and has been with RTR for 5 years. He attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems after which he immediately started at RTR and began to help the organization implement new technology. With a passion for networking and security it has been a great fit as RTR continues to expand and increase new technology to improve services.

 

 

 

 

 

Melissa Stone

Melissa Stone has been with RTR for over 20 years.  She attended Salve Regina University receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Ed in 1991 and in 1998 she received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston College.  Most recently, she graduated from Endicott College receiving a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis.  Missy pulls from the experience she has growing up with a family member who has a disability and the unconditional love and compassion that her family has shown to genuinely be concerned for the well being of those we support.   As a leader in the day habilitation community she is known for her behavioral expertise and passion for the success and happiness of the members and staff at her programs.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, in particular, her two daughters that she absolutely adores.

 

 

Cindy H Thompson

Cindy Thompson has been working in the human service field for over 30 years.  Much of that time has been with RTR, where she is known for being goal oriented and mission focused.  Having held many positions in both Residential and Day services, Mrs. Thompson attained her BS-Psychology at Bridgewater State College and is currently pursuing her masters in ABA and Autism Studies at Endicott College.  She enjoys sharing her experience and education with others to be a catalyst in supporting people to live meaningful valued lives.



 

 

Dineen Caruso

Dineen Caruso came to RTR in 1996.  She started in our production department and after a year started working in our finance department.    During her time, she has held every position in the department and is currently the assistant vice president.   RTR has been a perfect fit because she has enjoyed meeting many wonderful coworkers over the years.  Having a strong passion for RTR’s mission, she has enjoyed helping the individuals we serve exceed their goals.  A big part of her job is working with our state contracts and she is excited to see all the changes over the years that have allowed us to upgrade the services we provide.
